Testing and Commissioning of Sub-station Equipment
We conduct exhaustive Preventive Maintenance Inspection on various equipment used in power generation, transmission and distribution using sophisticated and specialiased instruments. Our teams of well-trained engineers carry out tests and conclude the results in the form of excellent reports that lead to actions to be taken be the power utilities to increase the life of such equipment by timely maintenance and avoid breakdowns. This results in huge direct and indirect savings in terms of equipment replacement and power outage costs.
For Testing services covering a large number of sub-stations, over a long period, ISSPL offers an innovative service pioneered by SCOPE’s SCHELOG software. This is SCOPE’s own web-based software that is directly accessible from the field for data entry and available to ISSPL for report generation and analysis.

Services offered for RLA & RLE study of Switchyard Equipments
We undertake RLA (Residual Life Assessment) and RLE (Residual Life Extension) studies for entire sub-stations. We carry out testing of Various types & makes of test objects such as Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, CT/CVT etc using state of the art test and measuring instruments. The data is uploaded in a proprietary web-based software of SCOPE called SCHELOG for further analysis. We create a detailed analysis report and submit our recommendations to repair/replace parts or equipment. Actions taken on our recommendations lead to a drastic reduction of equipment break-downs an increase in the availability of sub-station equipment.

Services offered for Infra-red Scanning of Switchyard Equipments
This service is offered to identify hot spots in Joints of Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Isolators & Bus-bars by using Infra-Red Thermography. This is a reliable and proven method of locating hot spots in the substation that could lead to future failures due to over heating. All such tests are conducted in live switchyards without taking shutdown of these critical equipments thus resulting into substantial saving in downtime cost.

Renovation and modernization is a necessity for improving the performance of power transmission and distribution. ISSPL has acquired the knowledge and expertise to modernize sub-stations using automation in association with ABB, Siemens and Allen Bradley, amongst others.
